Hunt & Hunt Price

  • Whitetail deer hunting dates are October for Crossbow and November – January for Rifle
  • Seasoned guide with +30 years’ big game experience, including successfully guiding many first-time hunters
  • Fully or partially guided hunts depending on hunter’s preferences, experience level, and your party size
  • All animals are free range and free roaming to support fair chase hunts
  • 2-day Hunt & Lodging: $1,000 per hunter and $400 per non-hunter plus Animal Hunt Price. Additional days are pro-rated rate
  • A $1000 deposit holds a reservation and the balance to be paid upon arrival via cash, Zelle pay, Venmo, or other options

Animal Hunt Price

  • Whitetail Doe: $600
  • Whitetail Buck – General: $1,400 (up to 7 points)
  • Whitetail Buck – Trophy 1: $1,800 (8 or 9 points)
  • Whitetail Buck – Trophy 2: $2,200 (10 or 11 points)
  • Whitetail Buck – Trophy 3: $2,600 (12 or more points)
  • Axis Buck – General: $1,900 (up to 24” main beam length)
  • Axis Buck – Trophy 1: $2,900 (up to 28” main beam length)
  • Axis Buck – Trophy 2: $3,900 (30″ or greater main beam length)

  • Beautiful surroundings with diverse and natural flora and fauna. Relax on a covered porch and get an up close and personal wildlife experience. Spectacular star watching and warming bonfires available in the evenings
  • Amazing views from the house and cabin of the San Saba River valley and natural upland pastures
  • Flexible accommodations with full kitchens to house 6+ guests with a modern and well-appointed house or a luxurious Amish built cabin

Seasons

  • 9/28/24- 11/1/24 is “Archery” season – we limit hunting to crossbows for Bucks
  • 11/2/24 – 1/5/25 is “General” (Rifle) season – Bucks and Does are hunted. Buck hunts are prioritized in November
  • 1/6/25-1/19/25 is “Special” (Late) season – is limited to Does

Logistics

  • Location: Boarders San Saba River near Voca TX, 1.5 miles from the intersection of Hwy 71 & Country Rd 208, Texas 76887
  • Drive Times: Austin ~2 hours, San Antonio ~2.3 hours, Dallas/Fort Worth ~3.5 hours, and Houston ~4.5 hours

Recreation

  • Boarders San Saba River for private access for fishing and cooling off (water depths typically 3-4’)
  • Tour our working cattle ranch, which raises direct to consumer all-natural grass-fed beef 
  • Technology includes high-speed internet and modern streaming TVs
  • Nearby towns: Brady 15 min., Mason 30 min., Llano 40 min., Fredericksburg 60 min., and San Saba 50 min.
  • Local attractions include Wines of Dotson Cervantes (5 min. drive) and three beautiful State Parks within ~60 min. including Colorado Bend, Enchanted Rock, & Inks Lake

What to Bring & Additional Information

  • Appropriate and valid hunting license & tags (not included), suitable zeroed hunting rifle/ammo, and flashlight. Let us know at time of booking if you are interested in a rifle rental or other loaner or rental equipment
  • Appropriate footwear and outerwear. Be aware that light colors, blue, & shiny apparel are more visible to deer
  • Scent control is very important, so please take precautions to minimize any personal and outerwear scent
  • Food and beverages unless arrangements have been made for assistance. High quality well water is provided
  • A cooler large enough to transport your animal or ability to drive your animal to a processor
  • Hunters must be proficient in the safe handling of firearms and a signed liability waiver will be required upon arrival
  • Wounded Game: If at the discretion of the guide a hunter wounds a deer, it will be considered a harvest
  • The outfitter reserves the right cancel the hunt at any time due to safety concerns or client misconduct
